TPST Requirements

*Proof of identity which must include one of the following:
1. A valid Texas Driver’s License 2. A valid Texas driver license with a “B” restriction 3. The driver license temporary receipt with the photograph issued by DPS.

Students Age 16-17

*Original birth certificate and social security card
*Present a valid Texas Class C Learner License with “B” restriction held at least 6 months
*Provide DE-964 or PTDE-964 certificate indicating Teen driver’s ed completion
*Provide unexpired Impact Texas Teen Driver certificate (ITTD)
*Provide 30 hour driving log completed
*Current VOE from your school dated within 30 days of testing
*Parent must be present at your appointment

Adults Age 18-24

*Original birth certificate and social security card
*Present a valid Texas Learner License
*Provide unexpired Impact Texas Driver certificate (ITTD/ITAD)
*18-24 year old must also provide proof of ADE-1317 certificate required after 6 hour course showing completion of the written tests

Adults Age 25+

*Original birth certificate and social security card
*Texas Class C driver license with “B” restriction or temporary permit Class C with “B” restriction
*ITAD or ITTD completion certificate completed within 90 days before the skills test
